Born in Elmhurst, Illinois with an eye for beauty, Marla was destined to become an interior designer. Many moves during childhood offered Marla the opportunity to express her creativity and passion for design in the family home time and time again. Marla received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Drexel University’s prestigious College of Design Arts in Philadelphia, PA. During her graduate studies, she worked for an award-winning luxury custom homebuilder in the beautiful environs of Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Upon completion of graduate studies, she aptly fell into her own business designing bespoke interiors for luxury homes.
In 1999, Marla received the highest recognition of professional ability in the field of interior design by becoming an NCIDQ certified interior designer. The National Council for Interior Design Qualification is a professional governing body limiting the NCIDQ designation to those with only a proven combination of knowledge, experience and credentials. This accomplishment enabled Marla to qualify as a Professional Member in ASID (American Society of Interior Designers). Marla has also been certified in Green Design and Aging-In-Place Design.
